What if I have an accident?

We provide a comprehensive driver’s pack which covers this.

What documents do I need to bring?

Each nominated driver must produce their driving license (both parts) plus another form of ID and a utility bill (or equivalent) for their residence. The address on the utility bill is to match that on the driving license. Please note that vans will not be handed over without appropriate proof of identity.

What payment method do you accept?

All major Debit/Credit cards or PayPal but such payments carry a 3.5% handling charge. Alternatively, bank transfer or cheque. Cash is not accepted and funds must clear prior to hire.

Can I take the camper to Europe?

Yes but we would need to arrange this with our insurers/recovery providers. Get in touch and we can work out a quote.

Are the awnings easy to put up?

Our larger awning may be a challenge to the uninitiated although if you have previously erected a tent there should be no problem. The small awning in a breeze!

What is the £500 Security Bond for?

This is to safeguard us from a number of things such as damage to our vehicle, speeding fines etc. It is normally returned within seven days of the vehicle being returned.

Where do I pick up the camper?

Pick up and drop off is at Fieldhouse Barn, Laundry Lane, Ingleton, N/Yorks, LA6 3DA.

Can I get to you by public transport?

Yes we can pick you up from and return you to the following train stations. Kendal, Lancaster, Oxenholme or Settle. A charge of £30 is made for this facility.

What time do we collect/return the campers?

Unless agreed previously, pick up is between 4pm and 8pm on the first day of the hire and return is prior to 11am on the final day of hire. If this does not meet your requirements it is possible to work something out.

Will we be shown how everything works?

You will be given a full brief on the vehicle, appliances, inventory etc. You will also be provided with a driver’s pack detailing breakdown, insurance and actions to take should there be an accident.

Can we take our own bikes?

Yes a cycle carrier (2 cycles) is available as an extra.

What type of fuel do the campers take?

Our vans are all diesel powered

Do you supply bedding etc?

We don’t supply bedding as we feel that this is a personal item. Therefore you will need to bring sleeping bags and/or duvet pillows and towels etc.

What if we would like to extend our hire?

Hire extensions are charged on a pro rata basis per night therefore divide your weekly charge by seven and you have the nightly rate. Clearly this is subject to availability.

What is the minimum number of days we can hire a camper for?

Our minimum hire period is three nights.

Can we smoke in the vehicles?

Sorry it is strictly no smoking in any of our vehicles and/or awnings/tents.

Can I park my car?

Off road parking is provided, free of charge, for those leaving a vehicle behind (at their own risk).

What are the age limits for hiring your vans?

Normally we hire to customers from 25 to 75 years of age. It is possible to hire to those outside of that bracket but this would need to be arranged through our insurers at additional cost.
